SPECIALIST ACCREDITATION BOARD

Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Saturday, 31 January 2026.


Specialist Accreditation Board:

The Council of the Law Society of NSW established the Specialist Accreditation Board to which it delegates responsibility for the Specialist Accreditation Program. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the performance standards of specialist accreditation

  • Establishing guidelines for Advisory committees

  • Setting business directions for the Specialist Accreditation Program

  • Setting and applying operational policies for candidates and Accredited Specialists

Board members may include solicitors practising in NSW (whether or not Accredited Specialists), persons with experience in the design and implementation of educational assessment, persons with a sound understanding of the legal needs of the community and business development expertise.

Please note that Board appointments are for a term of three years and will commence in early 2026.
